I suspect the Team's team is getting this feedback a lot because they have a lot of FAQs on how to turn notifications on, but mine are most certainly turned on, and I do not get notifications of new messages. UI clarity around when a message is sent is also poor. So far, so good! Been using it for about a month. User friendly. As soon as the rollout is finished, everyone will be automatically upgraded with their most recent update to Teams, so there isn't a need to search for download links and manually install Teams.
